She also shared that she needs to wear a protective gear. Ms. Ann also shared that she doesn’t really know how she is able to fit into her schedule since she is working full-time.

Ms. Torruellas shared that her students truly love the activities and that she always get positive feedback. As a matter of fact, Ms. Ann is proud to say that many of her students are already practicing Dahn yoga in everyday basis.

Best Part of this Experience…

Right from the very start, the prisoners told Ms. Ann that they have never felt such level of peace and calmness ever before and that they are able to acquire it by engaging in the different Dahn Yoga practices. Ms. Ann also gave the inmates sheets so that they are able to practice Dahn Yoga on their own. She is so happy that many are committed in doing the different Dahn Yoga techniques in daily basis.

Ms. Ann is also pleased because many of the inmates are astonished and happy with the results that they are getting from this ancient practice. Due to the fact that the inmates are in the maximum security, they spend majority of their time in their tiny cells. Thus, they often suffer from neck and shoulder pain, as well as various kinds of digestive issues.

According to Ms. Ann, many of the inmates said that since they started engaging in the classes, their digestion has become normal. In fact, one inmate utilizes the Jangsaeng Walking.
